Greeting the Morning - a photo on Flickriver

            With a 0645 departure from Anchorage the Coastal Classic is the first train to depart Anchorage in the morning. Heading south it skirts Cook inlet immediately upon departure from Anchorage then curves inland until arriving here. Directly ahead are the Kenai Mountains and if a passenger were to look to their left they would see the Chugach Mountains. Shortly they will turn East for a bit and travel along Turnagain Arm with mountains on both sides of the train. I recommend this train ride to everyone that visits Alaska. It shouldn't be missed.
