Houston, We Have a Problem - a photo on Flickriver

            A very late running south freight rolls through the town of Houston. North of Anchorage snow along the line is much more dramatic. As such the rails offer a path of least resistance to the many moose along the line. The moose were part of this trains problem in getting over the road in a timely fashion as the crew tried hard to not run them over and often followed close behind for many miles before the moose succumbed or they got out of the way. Winter is not kind to the moose or the train crews.
