Walthamstow Marshes - a photo on Flickriver

            A low POV shot from the cold spell in February. Most of this section of the marshes is mown to keep it as grassland but some areas are allowed to grow reeds or other vegetation (Michaelmas daisies here) to act as cover for birds and other wildlife - a couple of days after I shot this I inadvertently flushed a snipe very near this spot.

This is looking southwest towards Clapton - the River Lea runs just in front of the distant buildings.
