Jewels in the rain

            I wandered round our garden a day or two ago in the drizzle and light rain, camera to-boot as usual, when I came across some leaves on a plant which I think is called Rose of Sharon (but I am not sure). They had the most unusual colour - a sort of two-tone green/rustic red.

I wanted to make a focal point of one particular leaf which was laden down with droplets of rain.

I use fully automatic these days as my fingers are very arthritic now.  As I pressed the button simultaneously, because the day was quite dark, my flash flipped up and the light picked up the colours from the various plants and flowers which were crowding in around and these were reflected in the raindrops.

I think they look like jewels.   Sandra
