Today we had another great food day, grabbing a killer fried chix sandwich at bake sale betty's, then strolling around the farmers market. Bits of this dish inspired by our valentines day dinner. Scored some amazing, and i say," AMAZING BERKSHIRE PORK" . This pork is a heritage breed, pastured raised in Capay Valley up north near SAC. Will def go back for more of this Buck'n Pork from Range Brothers!!!

Organic Purple Potato, Parmesan, and Meyer Lemon Gratin, with Berkshire Breed (Kurobuta) Smoked Bacon, Sunny Side Cage Free Farm Eggs, Pan Seared Wild Mushroom Mix (Trumpet Royale, White Beech, Hon-shemeji, Velvet Pioppini , and Hedgehog ), Organic Cabbage, Chard, Collard Green Saute with Organic Caramelized Sweet Onion. Contains: Pork, Eggs, Milk.

Purple Potato, Parmesan, Meyer Lemon Gratin Recipe:

2# Purple Potato sliced thin, skin on
3 Cups Heavy Cream
3 Cloves Garlic, Smashed
1 Sprig Thyme
Salt Pepper to Taste
2 each Meyer Lemon Zest
1 Cup Fresh Shaved Parmesan

Add all to 9x9 baking dish, season in layers, bake at 350F for 1-1.5 hours.

I thought the lemon brought this gratin over the top.  I had a master recipe in school i've been using for over 10 years, rumored to be straight from Bocuse himself..  This past valentines day, i've tasted a gratin with a hint of lemon... and now the rest is history.... SO F"n GOOD!!
