1911 George V Half Penny - a photo on Flickriver

1911 George V Half Penny

            Kent is scattered with small villages and hamlets once full of local life. Plumford near Painters Forstal used to have a pub, now a lovely cottage and along side is an old footpath running through a Damson orchard. Where the footpath meets the countrylane next to the pub I found a old copper Half Penny. After a cursory lick I found out it was a 1911 King George V Half Penny. King George V was Coronated in 1911 so this is a coin early in his reign.....
