Le 14 Juillet Fête nationale française

            Le 14 Juillet est la fête nationale de la République française. C'est un jour férié en France.

Elle a été instituée par la loi Raspail1 du 6 juillet 1880, pour commémorer la prise de la Bastille du 14 juillet 1789, symbole de la fin de la monarchie absolue, ainsi que la Fête de la Fédération de 1790, symbole de l'union de la Nation. La loi ne mentionne pas quel est l'évènement commémoré : « La République adopte le 14 Juillet comme jour de fête nationale annuelle ».

July 14 is the national holiday of the French Republic. It's a day off in France.

It was instituted by the law Raspail1 of July 6, 1880, to commemorate the taking of the Bastille of July 14, 1789, symbol of the end of the absolute monarchy, as well as the Federation Day of 1790, symbol of the union of the nation. The law does not mention what is the event commemorated: "The Republic adopts July 14 as annual national holiday".
