            La torre di San Vincenzo è una torre costiera situata nel centro di San Vincenzo. La sua ubicazione è in prossimità del porto della cittadina costiera.

La torre venne edificata dai Pisani in epoca medievale, più precisamente nel corso del Duecento, affinché potesse svolgere funzioni di avvistamento e di difesa lungo il litorale meridionale del territorio della Repubblica di Pisa. La struttura architettonica militare continuò a svolgere per secoli le sue originarie funzioni, anche dopo l'inglobamento della zona all'interno del territorio amministrato dal granducato di Toscana. Proprio attorno alla metà del Cinquecento, i Medici effettuarono alcuni interventi per potenziare le capacità difensive, implementando di fatto il ruolo svolto dalla torre.

The tower of San Vincenzo is a coastal tower located in the center of San Vincenzo. Its location is located near the port of the coastal town.

The tower was built by the Pisans in medieval times, more precisely in the course of the thirteenth century, certainly to perform sighting and defense functions along the southern coast of the territory of the Republic of Pisa. The military architectural structure continues to carry out its original causes for centuries, even after the incorporation of the area into the territory administered by the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. Just around the middle of the sixteenth century, the Medici carried out some interventions to enhance defensive capabilities, effectively implementing the role played by the tower.
