Lungarno di Pisa (3) - a photo on Flickriver

            Pisa è famosa per la Torre che pende in Piazza dei Miracoli, ma anche per i suoi stupendi Lungarno, ossia per le vie che fiancheggiano i muraglioni del fiume, l'Arno, che attraversa la città.
Molti poeti e artisti si sono lasciati incantare dai Lungarni Pisani traendo l’ispirazione dagli splendidi palazzi signorili che si affacciano sull’Arno.
 
Pisa is famous for the Tower that hangs in Piazza dei Miracoli, but also for its stupendous Lungarno, or rather the streets that flank the river walls, the Arno, which runs through the city.
Many poets and artists have let themselves be enchanted by the Lungarni Pisani drawing inspiration from the splendid noble palaces overlooking the Arno.
