            Erice (U Munti in siciliano) è un borgo medievale della provincia di Trapani in Sicilia.

Nel centro cittadino che è posto sulla vetta dell'omonimo Monte Erice, sono residenti solo 1024 abitanti(popolazione che si decuplica nel periodo estivo), mentre la maggior parte della popolazione si concentra a valle, nell'abitato di Casa Santa, contiguo alla città di Trapani. Il nome di Erice deriva da Erix, un personaggio mitologico, figlio di Afrodite e di Bute, ucciso da Eracle.

Erice (U Munti in Sicilian) is a medieval village in the province of Trapani in Sicily.

In the city center which is located on the summit of the homonymous Mount Erice, only 1024 inhabitants are resident (a population that increases by ten in the summer), while the majority of the population is concentrated downstream, in the inhabited area of Casa Santa, adjacent to the city of Trapani. The name of Erice derives from Erix, a mythological character, son of Aphrodite and Bute, killed by Heracles.
