Tule Bluet and Vivid Dancer 3626 - a photo on Flickriver

            Temperature, 73 degrees. Sunny. Gorgeous day. Would there be any dragons and damsels? Tons! I even had a Blue Mosaic Darner hover in front of me for a full minute! But the thrill is gone.

No, the real "thrill" is to get a sharp image of two species of damsels, one Tule Bluet and one Vivid Dancer (look at the difference in size), on the same log in light so good, you'd think it was spotlit in a studio. What more could I ask. 

You will rarely see the males of two species of dragonflies on the same branch, grass, log. Damselflies are a little less "defensive."
