A Doctor Who Tardis Christmas ornament. These police boxes were used for real safety long ago, and Doctor Who's Police-Box-Shaped-Tardis has kept the Earth safe many times!

Shot for the Macro Mondays "Safety" theme and the Weekly Theme Challenge's "Primary Colors" theme.

The background is a sheet of glitter-covered foam.

Lens
Pentax's wonderful 100mm f2.8 macro lens on a Pentax K-5II. This is a 1:1 macro shot. It's a 10-second exposure at f/13 in order to have the whole of the safety notice legible. If you magnify the image you can see the individual pixels of the printing process.

Lighting
The lighting is just the ambient light in my kitchen, with a little reflection from the glittery background.
