A new hope

            Dopo il crollo del Ponte Morandi il 14 Agosto 2018, la ricostruzione di un nuovo viadotto sembrava un miraggio. Per una volta, tuttavia, le cose sono andate diversamente e la ricostruzione è andata spedita, e l'impalcato del ponte è stato completato in meno di un anno dall'inizio dei lavori (il vecchio viadotto è stato demolito 28 Giugno 2019).

Nella foto vediamo il nuovo viadotto Polcevera illuminato con il Tricolore che simbolicamente ricollega gli estremi della Val Polcevera, interrotti dal giorno del crollo.

After the collapse of the Morandi Bridge on August 14, 2018, the reconstruction of a new viaduct seemed a mirage. For once, however, things went differently and the reconstruction went well, and the bridge deck was completed in less than a year from the start of construction (the old viaduct was demolished June 28, 2019).

In the photo we see the new Polcevera viaduct illuminated with the Tricolor which symbolically reconnects the extremes of the Polcevera Valley, interrupted by the day of the collapse.
