B R I E L N O O K - a photo on Flickriver

            Hello friends. Last night i managed a rough edit of the epic geomagnetic storm while waiting by the phone alerts incase there was a repeat performance! 
The previous aurora i also captured though had picked a spot close to a car park and random blokes would wander infront of my tripod with torches, so on Thursday i chose a sea stack that was a muddy treck to access and thought it was a better option photography wise. 
Well the colour just got better and better and filled a whole half of the sky right up to the way past the horizon and i got a few images and compositions. 
In the far distance either side of me was evidence of tog activity but i was so far safe with my chosen perch...Until a figure with a small light caught my attention approaching at break neck speed to 'my' spot! I was pleasantly surprised though, when they politely asked if they could set up next to me, then proceeded with a dull red light so as not to ruin my images, plus did not stand in line of my ultra wide lens! I am sure we could all write books on the times that do not work out like this, plus the  relevant photography banter helped pass the time in what was to be a long night under a most beautiful Lady Aurora! She was even easily visible with the naked eye unlike the other UK auroras i have shot. 
Have a few from this shoot but will hold back as social media is somewhat over saturated with them but rightly so!  :)
