Bruce - a photo on Flickriver

Two weeks ago I worked on a project inspired by Joey Lawrence's " Blizzard photoshoot...the idea was to recreate a winter environment in studio with falling snow, since it's almost winter here in South Africa I thought it would be an interesting project to work on.

I remember looking for a man with a beard and I got advised by a friend to try get Bruce pose for the camera... I contacted Bruce one day before the shoot and he was really keen. Bruce is a very talented photographer and artist from Johannesburg, It was my first time meeting him and we had fun shooting. He just stood in front of my camera and it's like he knew exactly what to do, for a second I actually thought I was shooting a model with years of experience...I guess it's because as a photographer who has been doing it for a long time he knows what to do in front of the lens...

So here is one of my favorite images from the session, I will be posting more images during the week... we actually combined a smoke machine with a snow machine to get this effect...
