The regeneration of Coventry Station

Another visit to Coventry Station, my first since the pandemic began. The station is now operated by Avanti West Coast. I got a Class 390 Pendolino down from Birmingham New Street (and later back).

The current building opened in 1962 and is Grade II listed, but a new station building was being built near Warwick Road, probably on the site of the 1840s station.

Coventry Station originally opened in 1838 on the London & Birmingham Railway.

Arriving at the station, I first checked out the new red building on Warwick Road, and again when I later returned to go home.
