Got off the no 47 bus early to get this Birmingham Civic Society blue plaque.

I thought it was at the Stirchley Baths (as it was unveiled there). But saw it on the wall above these shops.

Was heavily raining in Stirchley, I almost crossed at the lights, but didn't after getting these (then the walk up to the next bus stop on Fordhouse Lane - the weather was atrocious!).

Above the shops it says The Central Bakery 1891.

Em's Pet Food Store on the left at 1395 Pershore Road.

Isherwood & Co. on the right at 1393 Pershore Road.

Mary Cottrell (1868 - 1969) First woman Birmingham City Councillor, Labour & Co-operative Party, 1917; board member Ten Acres & Stirchley Co-operative Society, 1909 and Co-operative Wholesales Society, 1922. Former site of TASCOS bakery.
