109 - Retablos Santiago y Pantocrátor - Iglesia Santiago - Turégano (Segovia) - Spain

Notable hallazgo románico en la iglesia de Santiago de Turégano (Segovia) - Spain, después de siglos oculto, ahora nos deleitamos con su visión, estudio e interpretación.
Este altar románico en piedra policromada del S-XIII, con unos relieves de casi dos metros de altura representan a Santiago en uno de ellos y un Pantocrátor con peregrinos en el otro.
Turégano en la denominada tierra de pinares y dentro de la zona del románico del río Pirón, nos obsequia con una joya en escultura policromada y convierte a esta Villa en centro important para estudiosos y amantes de este arte con conexiones con otros puntos artísticos relacionados. Se ha dicho que de este tipo de retablos solo existen otros dos en España: Santo Domingo de la Calzada (Rioja) y la Seo de Zaragoza.

Notable finding Romanesque was done in the Church of Santiago of Turégano (Segovia) - Spain, after several centuries hidden, we can enjoy now with our view, study and interpretation.
This Romanesque altar of 13Th century in polychrome stone have the reliefs of almost two metres high. They represent to Santiago in one of them and one Pantocrátor with pilgrims in the other.
Turégano is in the named pine grove and inside of the zone of Romanesque of Pirón River. We can enjoy with a treasure in polychrome and made of this Villa an importante centre for experts and Romanesque lovers. There were said that there are only two alike in Spain: Santo Domingo de la Calzada (Rioja) and The Seo of Zaragoza.
