            El león en el románico es un animal ampliamente representado, este capitel interior del ábside de la colegiata de San Pedro de Cervatos en Cantabria (Spain); románica del siglo XII, es un bello ejemplo de su estilo constructivo.
Representa a leones en su función de guardianes y protectores, sobre ellos asoman tres cabezas humanas, todos con ojos similares y rayados en las esculturas.

The lion in the Romanesque is a widely represented animal, this interior capital of the apse of the collegiate church of San Pedro de Cervatos in Cantabria (Spain); Romanesque from the 12th century, it is a beautiful example of its construction style.
It represents lions in their role as guardians and protectors, three human heads appear above them, all with similar eyes and striped in the sculptures.
