561 – Iglesia Santa María de Piasca (Cantabria) - Spain.

            La iglesia de Santa María la Real de Piasca, pertenece al municipio de Cabezón de Liébana en Cantabria (Spain); siendo uno de los ejemplares más importantes del arte románico en Cantabria.
Consta de tres naves, dos bellas portadas ricas en esculturas, capiteles románicos, además de bellos ábsides con ventanas y canecillos. Conserva en el interior excelentes capiteles con restos de policromía.
Esta edifico se construye en el año 1172, como indica la inscripción epigráfica junto a la portada occidental, y es Monumento Nacional desde el año 1930.

The church of Santa María la Real de Piasca, belongs to the municipality of Cabezón de Liébana in Cantabria (Spain); being one of the most important examples of Romanesque art in Cantabria.
It consists of three naves, two beautiful doors rich in sculptures, Romanesque capitals, as well as beautiful apses with windows and canecillos. It conserves in the interior excellent capitals with remains of polychrome.
This building is built in 1172, as indicated by the epigraphic inscription next to the western front, and is a National Monument since 1930.
