Artajona - Iglesia-fortaleza de San Saturnino -Navarra.

El Cerco de Artajona y la iglesia de San Saturnino constituyen la estampa emblemática por la que es conocida esta población. Cuando nos acercamos a este binomio monumental nos alcanza una sensación extraña de no estar ante una muralla e iglesia gótica españolas.
Realmente, la estética de ambos monumentos nos recuerda a la arquitectura gótica francesa. Y es que Artajona fue donada a la catedral francesa de Toulouse y fueron los canónigos de esta catedral quienes se ocuparon de su edificación.
