As I said in a former post, I visited my buddy down in Washington State last August for four days. 

I've never seen so many Sage Thrashers in one place. It seemed like every bush had one. Here's another shot from that visit. 

This thrasher with open mouth is trying to cool off in the 98°F / 37°C heat while perching atop a currant bush.
