Sunset over istanbul - a photo on Flickriver

            A sunset over central Istanbul, as seen from the Asian side. The sun is about to set behind the galata tower. I was tipped by the owner of my hotel, that I could get a shot of the sun setting behind galata tower from this stretch of the bosphorus. However, at this time of the year, the point of perfect alignment was behind a ferry terminal. I took this one as an afterthought, thinking I'd settle for second best. I never realized that this picture would become my first picture on flickr's explore...
