Monasterio de San Miguel de los Reyes, Valencia 01

Monasterio de San Miguel de los Reyes. Sede del Archivo Nicolau Primitiu. Ubicado Valencia, provincia de Valencia. Es Bien de Interés Cultural. Fue fundado en el siglo XVI por Fernando de Aragón, duque de Calabria, sobre un antiguo monasterio de la Orden del Císter. Es una importantísima obra del Renacimiento valenciano que según algunos autores puede ser considerado como precedente del monasterio de El Escorial, siendo como éste, monasterio jerónimo, foco cultural e iglesia conmemorativa de la memoria de su fundador.
