J'aime les textures, la matière. Par dessus tout, et je ne sais pourquoi, les peintures écaillées sur les vieilles portes ou fenêtres, qu'elles soient de métal ou de bois. Il est donc fréquent que je m'arrête et prenne en photo un détail de porte, de mur. Comme à chaque fois, j'interpelle les passants qui se demandent ce qu'il y a d'intéressant. Pendant que je prenais cette photo, je sentais une présence autour de moi. C'était un Romain qui, intrigué, me regardait faire. A la fin de mes prises de vue, il m'a alors demandé ce que je photographiais. Je lui ai expliqué que je trouvais les couleurs et le graphisme de la porte intéressantes, que le mélange de fer et de bois, la présence du cadenas, étaient sublimes. Il m'a écouté attentivement, a tenté de comprendre ce qui était pour moi magnifique. En partant, j'ai eu comme l'impression qu'il avait pris conscience que sa ruelle possédait un charme singulier et inattendu, que seul moi, en dehors des nombreux touristes photographiant les classiques du genre, avait révélé.
C'était sa fenêtre.
