Melting Icicles

More than likely, these icicles were hanging off of the gutter of our farmhouse in Taylorstown, MD, and it's the date that leads me in that direction. I recall that the temperature was about 33°
and the icicles were melting in extremely slow motion. Every so often I would catch a drop of water in the air, on the way down to the ground, testing my reflexes. I missed more drops than I caught, despite thinking otherwise.
