Zambezi Bridge - a photo on Flickriver

Zambezi Bridge

            Mosi Oa Tunya - Smoke That Thunders, and this year in June, the noise from the Victoria Falls was truly 'thunderous'.  Owing to the high volume of water flowing over the falls, towering clouds of drifting spray drenched the bridge, which was just what Cecil Rhodes commanded when he ordered the iconic structure to be built. 

This was the view at sunrise as the Garratt loco steamed across from the Zambian side of the river.
