As Cold As It Looks - a photo on Flickriver

            The Jixi Coal Mine railway system offered an enormous variety of locations, from industrial scenes to the most rural. 

The Lishu section was certainly rural with the line skirting a wide valley before climbing through the wooded hills to the pink painted Pinggang mine.  

Here we see the SY loco returning to Lishu Station on a bitingly cold northern China winter's day.
