Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em - a photo on Flickriver

            At 68 years old this vintage EMD GP-7 is still getting it done. Originally built in 1953 for the B&O as 726, where it spent many years before getting sold to the Indiana & Ohio as 54. In it's later years it was sold to a grain company in Jeffersonville where it sat for many, many years, rusting away. Most railfans thought it was done for and would see the torch and scrapped. Thankfully Sunrise Cooperative of South Charleston bought it in 2019, had it moved, serviced and painted. It now spends it's days pushing and pulling hopper cars in and around the massive Sunrise grain facility. Note. CSX locomotives can be seen lurking in the shadows.
