St Neots Town v Darlington - a photo on Flickriver

            Pictures taken at The Cozy Stadium of the FA Trophy second Qualifying round match between St Neots Town v Darlington 

The game ended in a 3-1 defeat for Darlington who were reduced to 10 men after only 3 minutes as Liam Hatch was dismissed for throwing a punch.  Despite this handicap Darlo held the home team at bay for long periods and did not look outclassed by their higher league opponents and could have been in  the lead at half time but for a couple of good saves by the St Neots keeper.

In the end tiredness led to the goals coming with the home side taking the lead on 70 minutes before Amar Purewal levelled for Darlington with a neatly taken 1 on1 after 77. Sadly Darlo switched off and immediately conceded before be caught on the counter attack late on for the home sides third late on.

As annoying as being knocked out of the cup is the difference between the two sides wasn’t that wide and the defeat allows us to concentrate on the league which has to be the priority.
