Keelung Mid-summer Ghost Festival 2022 壬寅年雞籠中元祭典放水燈暨遊行活動

            The Keelung Mid-summer Ghost Festival began 1855. So far 160 years has passed. The ones with 11 surnames of Chang Liao Chien, Wu, Liu Tang She, Chen Hu Yao, Hsieh, Lin, Chiang, Cheng, Ho Lan Han, Lai, Hsu took turns on duty for main salvation according to the order from drawing lots.

鷄籠中元祭起源於1855年，是台灣歷史最悠久的民俗祭典之一，也是第一個被指定為「重要民俗」類國家文化資產的節慶，傳承至今即將邁入第168年，今年由黃姓宗親會輪值主普，系列活動於7月底陸續展開。
111年8月11日在基隆市街道遊行後，在望海巷放水燈、煙火表演。
The water lantern parade and the releasing of water lanterns of 2022 Keelung Mid-summer Ghost Festival were held in the evening of August 11. The flower parade prepared by the family associations stretched for several kilometers, attracting thousands of onlookers and boiling up the whole downtown area of the city. After it was finished, the family associations released water lanterns at Wanghai Lane.
