Burmah, Taggarts / Airdrie Autopoint, Airdrie, Lanarkshire, late 1970s and c.1992 (extract from Burmah People magazine)

Burmah was very strong in the central belt of Scotland during the 1970s and 80s. I date the older photo to the late 70s but it could be earlier — the Austin sign is much older, of course. Odd to have so little British Leyland / BL branding — looks like just the one logo.

The 90s Burmah chinthe branding was visible on the canopy in the 2015 Streetview and subsequently goo.gl/maps/ehxNGp6Cdk7tWFsn8 — looks like it was Shell before that, and the Shell facing was removed.
