(As it was in 2014): Final upload - re-posting 'Morning Mist 11'

            (See below for update) This is my last upload before I take an extended break from photography. I've struggled with bouts of poor mental health in recent months, and I've been particularly overwhelmed in these last several days. So I've dropped almost everything in order to focus on my recovery, which is likely to be a long process, and Flickr, unfortunately, is something I feel unable to keep updating at the moment.

Whether I'm gone for a week, a month or a year, I honestly don't know, but I hope I'll be back. Until then, thank you with all of my heart for giving me the pleasure of sharing my work, and my journey, with you over the last six years - it's been an absolute honour and a joy. Time will tell whether I pick up a camera again, but if I don't, at least I've left this body of work for the world to look back on. This journey has been tumultuous and turbulent, but also enlightening and beautiful - I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have.

I'll see you when I see you, but for now, it's 'over-and-out' from me. Thanks for the experiences and the memories, and good luck.

(Update December 2015: Well, I'm doing better. Better than I have for perhaps three years. That's a long time to spend in the wilderness, but I'm back in some health again now. I've never given up, of course, never stopped grafting and sanding and clawing away at it, and I'm relieved to say I'm back with my head above water. Halfway through 2015, it didn't look that good - I was drowning in depression, self-hatred and vodka, to be honest. I suppose there is a point at which you sort of see an image of yourself, think, 'what have I become?' and either dissolve completely or try to forge a way back. Being me, I gave the latter everything I had left, and I've got a real chance at being a well man for a long time yet. I maybe won't photograph things, but that, you might have guessed, is secondary. If you're struggling out there - it's possible, if you give yourself a chance. You've only lost if you concede...)
