Kassel - Technik-Museum Kassel - Bw-Lazarettwagen 01

            An ill transport train, shortened KrTrspZg, was a hospital train of the armed forces. Such trains were planned at times of the cold war in the back corps area to the evacuation of supplied patients by the main association places and military hospitals to the reserve military hospitals in the back fighting zone (also the Netherlands and Belgium). The ill transport trains of the ill transport companies (rail) resulted for the original draught of hospital train belonging to armed forces which was not realised for cost reasons as originally planned.

The carriage of treatment build from 1965 to 1967 by Wegmann & Co. in Kassel with the factory number 8786.  

First he ran with the company number 910 001 P as a D4ümz-65, later with the number 51 80 09‑53001‑6 P than Dmz903.  He has a closed, gasproof carriage box and is equipped with an air-conditioning. Two doctor's offices disposed of a complete operating theatre. 

Beside the speech room with chemist's shop the lab and rooms lie for doctors and nursing staff. He differs from the economic carriage above all by six evenly distributed portholes on a carriage side.
