Lys Stargazer . . . - a photo on Flickriver

D’après la mythologie grecque, le lys serait né d’une goutte de lait du sein d’Héra, une déesse de l’Olympe. Représentant la Vierge Marie, le lis est également perçu comme le symbole de la virginité. Outre sa beauté et ses qualités décoratives, le lis servait de pansement cicatrisant et antiseptique. La fleur était aussi conservée dans de l’huile pour soigner les brûlures et les gerçures.
