I haven't got much time to write. This year's month of Ramadhan is an especially busy one for me. Lots of things to, lots of things that I need to not miss before Syawal comes around. With the Olympics also taking place, I find myself equally torn between watching track events from London 2012 and the live telecast of tarawih prayers from Masjidil Haram in Makkah. I haven't had enough sleep most days, suffice to say.

This is another shot of Harlie. I like the one I posted previously more, perhaps because the look on Harlie's face & her stance in that photo somehow conveys to me a defiant side of her...one that says 'What, do you see anything wrong? There's nothing wrong with me. I'm perfectly fine, even with this empty space where my right arm used to be'. Sad, but poignant & inspiring as well. Thing is, I am quite certain that Harlie thinks the exact same way..that she is a perfectly normal kitty. Well, it doesn't really matter...I see her as one.

I like this photo because of the intensity in Harlie's eyes. It's particularly striking. To me, at least.

Oh, and did I tell you how she came to have the name 'Harlie'? Well, the very first thing that I thought to myself when I first laid eyes on her was how much her face reminded me of a harlequin. One that has many faces, or one that wears masks. Obviously, calling out 'Harlequin' everytime I want to call her is a mouthful, so I shortened it to Harlie. 

Not the most feminine or nicest of names, but I think it's one that suits her well.
