Charcas la culta en la altivez señera,
a quien soñando en el confín la veo;
blanca ciudad de heráldico trofeo,
de un pasado fastuoso, evocadora…
Tierra del regio sol y del encanto
te da un beso de luz mi pensamiento,
que cual pájaro azul, raudo y sediento,
vuela hacia ti para exhalar su canto.
Charcas la heroica en la epopeya andina,
con tu gloria el pasado se ilumina
y se llena de sombra el alma ibérica.
Charcas, la ungida por el sol de mayo,
sol libertario, cuyo ardiente rayo,
fue iluminando el porvenir de América.
