⛅ Moody Sunset Canal - a photo on Flickriver

Hi guys!

I visited a new spot for a sunset this past week :-)

There's a new bridge in the area and I wanted to see the setting sun from there... but other people had the same idea,  so I climbed down the hillside and perched myself upon the rocky ledge to grab some photos instead.
Then I thought,  why not back up and capture a bit of the pretty Springtime grass in here as well :-)

I cropped the original 4:3 image to focus on the moody clouds (which were melting into the sunset glow anyhow) and also happened to capture another 'sea monster' in the water too!  
(the tree branch continued to twist & turn slowly during my shooting there... so it actually was animate!)

That bright sun glow reflecting off the edge of the pier (to the left) caught my eye and I eventually saw children there doing cartwheels and dancing on the pier (there's still one child standing there in this image).

All in all it was a moody sunset and I enjoyed the darks & lights, shadows & reflections of this Springtime evening glow :-)
