No Worries - a photo on Flickriver

No Worries

            My cat, Mr. Meowzer, was born in the wild as a feral kitten. His litter was rescued and I brought him home from the Humane Society as a little kitten, but even though he has grown up in a quiet home with lots of love, he is hyper-vigilant and ultra-skittish as a young adult. I often think that he somehow has inherited these traits because his parents were feral and needed such traits to survive. He stays in our yard and loves to be outside during the day, but at night I bring him in and he spends the evenings drowsing next to me in his bed where he occasionally watches a nature tv show. He provides me with lots of stress relief as I can easily stroke his silky fur and pet his soft stomach when he rolls onto his back.
