Ballston Lake FD MR 12-5 - a photo on Flickriver

Marine Rescue 12-5 / 18' Airboat

Used for water rescue on nearby Ballston Lake and mutual aid rescues on Round Lake. MR 12-5 is an aircraft propeller driven 18 foot airboat. It also has a distinct advantage in its’ ability to move across a frozen lake in the winter to engage in ice water rescues. MR-5 can be pulled to the scene by either F 12-4 (brush truck) or ETA 12-3 which has additional ice water rescue equipment on it.
