Les lacs de l’Hemisfèric, le Palais de les Arts, le Paseo de Cipreses, le Paseo del Arte et l’entrée ouest du Musée des sciences accueillent l’exposition Igor Mitoraj.
Quinze grandes sculptures en bronze, stratégiquement fragmentées, imprègnent de leur « beauté brisée », la Cité des arts, créant ainsi une rencontre magique entre la science, la nature et l’art dans un même espace.
À travers ses pièces inspirées de la culture romaine et grecque, le sculpteur polonais cherche à traduire le malaise de l’homme contemporain, sa précarité et sa fragilité, renouant avec l’idée que l’art a une âme propre.

The Hemisfèric lakes, the Palace of the Arts, the Paseo de Cipreses, the Paseo del Arte and the west entrance of the Science Museum host the Igor Mitoraj exhibition.
Fifteen large bronze sculptures, strategically fragmented, imbue the Cité des arts with their “broken beauty”, thus creating a magical encounter between science, nature and art in the same space.
Through his pieces inspired by Roman and Greek culture, the Polish sculptor seeks to translate the uneasiness of contemporary man, his precariousness and his fragility, reviving the idea that art has a soul of its own.
