World Elephant Day 2021 ( 2 ) a tender moment

            an African Bush Elephant  calf gently touches an adolescent near a river in Madikwe Game Reserve, South Africa

Several Elephant herds came to drink near a bridge across a  river in Madikwe Game Reserve, South Africa.
We had a great time observing their interaction especially as  there were calfs of different ages.

African Savanna Elephant or African Bush Elephant 
In 2021 the IUCN Red List Status was changed to ENDANGERED
