Paris is Art

            The city of Paris is full of art and stairs. Photo taken with the cell phone.

The July Column was built between 1830 and 1840 in honor of those who died in the uprising against King Carlos X –the last of the Bourbons–. It is located in the Place de la Bastille, where the prison of the same name used to exist, and at its top shines a male angel holding a broken chain. Since 1995 it has been a national monument of France and for two years it has been open to public visits. Source: Digital Travesias.
