Constructed By Douglass at their Long Beach Factory in California USA and served with the United States Army Air Force this Dak was one of the lead aircraft in the D-Day invasion that took paratroopers From RAF cottesmore to near to Sainte Mere Eglise in France as part of Operation Neptune Sainte Mere Eglise a small Town was the first to be liberated in France
