BNSF 5604 Larkspur 27 Mar 09 - a photo on Flickriver

            BNSF 5604 leads a coal train over the old Santa Fe bridge in Larkspur, CO.

This day turned out much different than the one I was expecting.  A significant snow storm hit Colorado Springs overnight and shut the west side of the city down, including my work.  So that was a win since this was also a Friday so I was walking in to a 3-day weekend, but no work also meant that, even though it was too dangerous to drive to work, I could get out trackside!  And that's exactly what I did.

Snowfall totals north of the Palmer Divide were significantly less than what El Paso county saw, as seen in this photo, but there was still enough that fell to make a nice scene.

Oh, that car?  Yeah, not what I was wanting.  Just moments prior to the shot, the couple in the car offered me some advice on where to get some nice photos in the area and then proceeded to drive right into the photo I was there to take.  Oh, well...
