ARR 4324 Potter 23 Oct 12 - a photo on Flickriver

            A transportation charter makes a rare southbound passenger move south of Anchorage on a gorgeous fall evening.

During the summer, there are two regularly scheduled passenger trains per day in addition to the cruise line trains that frequent the shores of the Turnagain Arm, but come mid-September and the end of the tourist season, your only chance to catch a passenger train is if you catch a special train (Blue Train, Halloween Train, etc.) or a chartered move.  I got lucky this evening with the elusive combination of free time, sunshine, and a train!
