FURX 8101 Dilworth XT 19 Jan 08 - a photo on Flickriver

N-NTWLAU (Northtown, MN - Laurel, MT) is parked and crewless just short of the yard in Dilworth, MN with FURX 8101 on the front an eclectic all-EMD lashup. Not too often, if ever, I caught a SD40-2-GP30 rebuild-Triclops-and either SD75 or SD70MAC combo.

Did not have much success on this particular day as I kept missing trains, but I ran across this guy on the way home. I've already shared a shot of this train before taken with my then-new SD1000 point-n-shoot I was trying out for the first time, a shot that remains one of my favorites:

Not bad for a P-n-S! I also took a shot with the SD1000 from this angle to compare with the Digital Rebel XT I was using at the time...no comparison with the DSLR winning hands-down, no surprise.

I never minded these First Union Cascade Green leasers as they looked 'stock' enough to me. Plus, I didn't grow up with endless streams of green SD40-2s so I wasn't burned out on them...
