Chill autumn sunset on the Hawes Inn, Queensferry

Where four of us met after photographing the QM2, which departed at sunset.

This is the same Hawes Inn which featured in Robert Louis Stevenson's "Kidnapped", hence the pirates on the inn sign.

If you go round the back of the Hawes Inn there is a woodland stair leading up to the railway signposted "Dalmeny Station". If you keep taking the turn which keeps you close to the overhead railway you end up having walked fairly directly to the railway station, and to the bus stop for the 43/43X buses to Edinburgh,
