The Photographer Contemplates the View

            Such a variety of interesting views are here near the bottom of Miller Row that a little viewing platform has been constructed from which they can be enjoyed. In the centre are three old mill wheels cemented together as a memorial to the ancient water powered industry which one flourished here.

How did excavating fossil fuel from deep in the ground and transporting it half way round the world get to be cheaper than using local water power?
