Three iris buds, one dead double bloom

            The first flower stalk grew up quickly while the rest remained small and inhibited. As soon as the flower blooms started to die, the next three flower bulb stalks started to grow. It's a potted kithen plant. For this shot it was taken outside into the garden for a more appropriate background. It was sunny when I took it out, and I hoped for a sunny backlight lightening the dead dark red petals. The sun had faded by the time I got it all ready. Since the forecast has the next few days was even dimmer & it's growing so fast you can almost see it stretching I just shot it anyway under the gray sky.
